Job Purpose
The jobholder is responsible for providing a complete suite of strategic advisory services, as well as equity and debt capital raising capabilities for leading corporations, institutions and governments.
The jobholder is responsible to ensure good integration with regulators, key stakeholders including brokerage houses, fund managers and investors as well as internal stakeholders in order to deliver effective and efficient advisory services in the market.
Main Responsibilities
Responsible for working with a variety of capital market transactions and client-facing business development initiatives in all areas of the Markets
Working with Corporate & Institutional banking Relationship Managers on M&A, strategic corporate finance, and capital raising transactions
Developing and preserving complex financial models and valuation analyses on public and private companies: comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, leveraged buy-out analysis and discounted cash flow analysis
Coordinate and direct elements of a transaction (e.g. due diligence, financial projections and analyses, marketing materials, data room preparation).
Communicates the progress of the transaction to all relevant parties (internal and external)
Contributing to the delivery of client meetings and presentations for advisory services
Conducting research to analyze market trends including Business and industry research and analysis.
Researching and analyzing future opportunities
Development, training, and mentoring of new analysts
Building cross-functional relationships within the Bank (Wholesale & Retail).
Follows all risk related practices and policies.
Formulate and deliver opinions and recommendations on securities and companies in one or more industry groups regarding capital raising and business dynamics
Knowledge and Skills
A strong foundation in fundamental investment banking skills such as financial modeling and analysis, transaction execution and negotiation, and in-depth industry/product knowledge
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Value and possess strong competency in the following behaviors: Collaboration, Relationship Building, Communication, Integrity and Operating with Diverse and Inclusive Mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance, Investment Banking, Economics or Business Studies
At least 5 years of proven experience in Transaction Advisory services role, or investment banking.
Sales Experience is a must
CFA certification will be an added advantage
