Position: Senior Medical Counselor (1 Position) Responsible to: Deputy CEO Location: Dar es SalaamJob purpose:Ensure an effective service delivery to patients who are in Dar es Salaam for medical referral as well as support other Persons of Concern whenever they need medical services.Essential Job FunctionsProvide medical counseling to Persons of Concern (POC) referred to Dar es Salaam medical treatment.Attend to day to day medical needs of PoC under REDESO’s careEscort PoC referred to referral hospitals outside Dar es Salaam (within Tanzania) whenever the need arises.Prescribe mild drugs in accordance with the PoC condition where the situation does not require hospitalizationAssist PoC to reach their referral hospitals and ensure they meet the appropriate DoctorsConduct monitoring visits so as to monitor the development in the condition of the PoCKeeping records of PoC and advise REDESO/UNHCRBe part of REDESO Senior Management Team: This calls for attending weekly SMT and planning meetingsWrite patients report as needed by REDESO/UNHCRRepresent REDESO at relevant meetings.Knowledge and SkillsThe incumbent will have to be a Medical Doctor.Must have experience at least 1 year.Ability to write precisely, clear medical reportAbility to work under hectic and pressureHow to ApplyFor those applying for the position of Senior Medical Counselor should submit their application letter, resume (with three referees), and copies of your relevant certificates to Chief Executive Officer, REDESO Hq, P.O.Box 2621 Dar es Salaam or electronically through: redeso-hq@redeso.or.tz
