Senior Relationship Manager - VPJob Req ID: 25885488Location(s): Dar es Salaam, TanzaniaJob Type: Full timeThe Senior Relationship Manager is a senior-level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The Senior Relationship Manager also serves as an intermediary in trading for clients. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.Responsibilities:Responsible for managing our Corporates, Public Sector / Government Related Entities and the strategic direction of the business, encompassing people management, strategic client management, liaison with other areas of the bank to ensure superior customer service, solution development and implementation, and ensuring adherence to all legal, regulatory, compliance, risk and other Citi policy standardsNurture existing client relationships to become a trusted advisor. Engage in strategic dialogue with clients’ senior management, opening access to the highest levels of their organization.Identify customer needs and recommend solutions to address these needs, such as financing, streamlining of cash management operations, foreign currency solutions, etc.Cross-sell banking products, including cash management, trade finance, trade services, structured trade products, foreign exchange, commodities, fixed income, loans (including syndicated, bilateral) and capital market productsAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Deliver the annual budgeted revenue growth developed in agreement with Product partners, driving specific initiatives as required.Front end origination of transactions across the product suiteImplement calling plans to ensure business development is pursued across the assigned client base.Agree with the product partners the future vision, trend and direction of each product within the coverage space, foster innovation in products and solutions, and communicate to ensure alignment within the team.Qualifications:5-10 years of experienceMBA or Master's degree in Business preferredProven and progressive related lending/credit experience or equivalent product experienceDemonstrated credit skills, including a background in creditExperience with large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance and securities products preferredComprehensive knowledge of Corporate Banking business including related products, pertinent regulations and the lending and credit approval processConsistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communicationProven analytical, planning, negotiation, and organizational skillsEducation:Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
