Service Centre Supervisor Arusha Station

Location: Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day running of physical shipment handling.
Maintain properly allocated manning resources according to shipment volumes.
Manage facility and operating system security.
Build strong client relationships to maximize company performance and growth.
Provide prompt shipment lodgement and recovery according to customer requirements.
Maintain a clean and fair working environment for all customers.
Ensure transit time standards and identify non-compliance against gateway operation TSP.
Provide timely lodgement and recovery of shipments.
Escalate service failures to line supervisor/manager.
Focus on and follow up on customs clearance processes to enhance service delivery.
Execute work processes impacting role success and departmental performance.
Handle storage and inventory control, liaising with customs and operations teams for stock despatch.
Timely report issues to higher levels for support.
Comply with all company policies and procedures (health, safety, environment, community).
Ensure timely and effective customer communication through regular visits and monthly performance reviews.
Maintain daily/weekly contact with peers in Operations, Commercial/Direct Sales, Customer Service Management, IT, and eCom; and with peers in other stations to develop business.
Provide expert advice, training, and technical assistance to lower-level personnel.
Assist in directing the work of others and contribute to employee development.
Continuously seek and implement opportunities for operational improvement.


Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
Fluent English (written and oral)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Computer skills
Team player and people management skills
Customs regulations knowledge
Supply chain management & logistics experience
At least 2 years of customs clearance experience
At least 2 years of logistics experience
