Statutory Accountant

HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking to recruit a Statutory Accountant who will be responsible for supervising the end-to-end accounting process relating to tax and statutory compliance, ensuring all General Ledger transactions are accurately and timely recorded in the ERP system and reconciled within agreed timelines.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and facilitate monthly tax and statutory returns.
Conduct weekly ERP versus EFD reconciliations across regions.
Ensure compliance with all tax, pension, insurance, and statutory obligations.
Manage tax audits and statutory reviews.
Prepare quarterly and annual statutory statements and returns.
Act as the lead contact person on tax and statutory matters with external stakeholders including TRA and other statutory bodies.
Maintain custodianship of fiscal devices and ensure EFD data integrity.
Conduct tax health checks and compliance reviews.
Assist in the preparation of management accounts and reconciliations.
Ensure tax implications of all company transactions are correctly accounted for.
Support intercompany reconciliations and reporting.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
CPA(T) qualification will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience, preferably in taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
Good understanding of branch/DC accounting and reporting.
Experience working with ERP systems such as Palladium, SAP, or Navision.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
Strong analytical and planning skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Leadership ability and strong team-player mindset.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback.
