STOCK ACCOUNTANTINDUSTRY: OIL AND GASHR World Limited on behalf of our client we are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Stock Accountant to manage and maintain accurate records of inventory transactions within our client’s organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES;
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including receipts, disbursements, and adjustments.
Monitor stock levels and reconcile physical inventory counts with system records.
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including inventory reconciliations and journal entries.
Provide support for internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
Work closely with purchasing and production teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.
Utilize accounting software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) to record inventory transactions and generate reports.
Collaborate with IT personnel to troubleshoot system issues and implement improvements.
Identify inefficiencies in inventory management processes and recommend solutions to streamline operations.
QUALIFICATIONS;
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 4 year of proven experience in inventory accounting or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Strong understanding of GAAP principles and inventory costing methods (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, weighted average).
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
