Position: Technical Analyst – Preventative Maintenance (Re-advertised)
Reports to: Technical Manager
Position Type: Staff Position
Job Location: Arusha, Tanzania
Objective of the Role
The Technical Analyst – Preventative Maintenance will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive preventative maintenance program. The primary goal is to minimize equipment downtime, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure the long-term reliability of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a proactive preventative maintenance strategy to ensure minimal equipment downtime and optimize farm operations.
Conduct technical analyses and generate detailed reports on equipment performance, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring operational efficiency.
Lead, train, and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring strict adherence to safety compliance and farm protocols.
Manage inventory levels by ensuring adequate stocks of spare parts and coordinating timely reorders as needed.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and operational standards, guiding team members to follow company and statutory requirements.
Assist the Technical Manager in maintaining proper environmental upkeep across the entire farm.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, with a strong focus on preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
In-depth technical knowledge of farm equipment, irrigation systems, climate control systems, and mechanical infrastructure.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to train, supervise, and motivate a maintenance team effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to analyze technical data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
Solid understanding of health, safety, and compliance regulations, with a strong commitment to maintaining safe work environments.
Proficiency in generating and interpreting technical reports, ensuring alignment with company protocols and industry standards.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency in using multiple related software, including maintenance management systems and data analysis tools.
