HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Officer responsible for overseeing transportation operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and safety in all logistics activities.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and manage daily transport operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
Monitor and manage fleet performance, including fuel usage, maintenance schedules, and route optimization.
Ensure compliance with transport policies, traffic regulations, and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, driver assignments, and transportation expenses.
Coordinate with drivers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve transport-related issues.
Assist in developing strategies for cost reduction and improved efficiency in transport operations.
Prepare and submit reports on transport activities, performance, and compliance.
Provide guidance and support to drivers and transport staff on company policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Transport Management from NIT or any other recognized institute.
Proven experience in transport/logistics operations will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of transport regulations, fleet management, and logistics systems.
Proficiency in MS Office and logistics management software.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
