Treasury FX Trader
Job Purpose:
Actively market FX Spot, FX forwards, and derivatives in the interbank market.
Enhance business turnover along with the desk’s income.
Duties
Ensure FX volume targets and income are achieved by collaborating closely with the sales team to close transactions.
Manage the risks of trading in foreign exchange markets, ensuring all trades are conducted within established limits.
Initiate and maintain relationships with counterparties both local and international to ensure continual business and revenue growth.
Monitor the Daily Net Open Position (NOP) to ensure that positions of all currencies remain within the limits approved by the Board, BRMC, and ALCO.
Collect relevant information impacting market trends, the Bank, and the overall economy through market analysis and research.
Continuously evaluate the Bank’s exposure to currency fluctuations and develop strategies to manage and mitigate foreign exchange risk on a daily basis.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Commerce, Banking and finance, or a related field of study.
ACI dealing certificate is required.
At least four years as a senior dealer in foreign exchange and/or money markets.
Thorough understanding of the local and international financial services industry.
Knowledge of foreign exchange markets, and trends of major currencies.
Personal Attributes
Strong service ethic.
A structured approach to dealing with complex and variable work environments independently.
Strong evaluation, communication, and reporting skills.
