Key Responsibilities
Prepare daily reports and supervise mechanics and other subordinates
Ensure adequate availability of inventory of physical equipment and supplies and maintain records
Ensure the smooth execution of the day to day operations of the Workshop, including turnaround and quality
Increase productivity, assess capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining high-quality standards.
Ensuring the fleet is maintained to and in compliance with Company Fleet Management Standards
Provide expert and accurate advice on technical matters
Adhere to all compliance requirements including supporting paperwork
Manage all aspects of customer service to achieve quality outcomes
Manage the communication flow between direct reports and management and ensure people management policies are applied
Champion a safety culture within the team and drive zero incidents in the workplace
Work Experience and Skills
5+ years’ experience in Vehicle/Fleet Maintenance
Leading and supervising skills
Ability to operate all tools and equipment involved.
Solid knowledge of and experience with Trucks and Trailer maintenance
Demonstrated understanding, and the ability to apply quality control techniques
Prior experience leading and managing a team in a similar environment
Sound computer knowledge.
