Victoria Finance Plc (VFP) is a leading microfinance company in Tanzania, established in 2009 and commencing operations in 2010. As a regulated microfinance institution, VFP is dedicated to providing essential microfinance services to low and middle-income earners, women, and youths across Tanzania. The company currently operates seven branches and a subsidiary insurance broking company, Victoria Insurance Brokers Limited, established in 2017. Victoria Finance has a significant presence with branches in Dar es Salaam, Morogoro, Iringa, Mbeya, and Dodoma, and extends its reach to serve smallholder farmers in over thirteen regions through its innovative digital agriculture product, Kilimo Pesa.
The Company is now inviting applications from qualified, experienced, and result-oriented professionals to fill various vacancies. We are specifically seeking a Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO).
Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) - 1 Post
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the CBDO will be instrumental in leading Branch Operations, Sales, Business Development, Portfolio Management, and Customer Experience across all VFP branches.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive business growth and market expansion initiatives.
Oversee branch performance and ensure sales targets are met.
Manage and safeguard the loan portfolio, ensuring its stability and profitability.
Supervise Branch Managers, Business Development teams, Direct Sales teams, and Customer Experience teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
An MBA is considered an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Microfinance or the Financial Services sector.
At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role.
