As a Head of Room Attendant, your role is crucial in perpetuating our company's aims, goals, and objectives.Scope and Purpose of JobThe Head of Room Attendant ensures that room attendants complete all tasks correctly and efficiently. This includes managing product orders, monitoring the performance of room stewards, organizing employee shifts, conducting training, motivating team members, and ensuring the tidiness of private and public areas. The supervisor also provides training on guest request handling, maintaining housekeeping inventory, conducting stock takes, and ordering necessary supplies.Responsibilities & DutiesOrganize, supervise, and coordinate the work of Room Attendant staff on a day-to-day basis.Ensure excellence in room attendant sanitation, safety, comfort, and aesthetics for in-camp guests.Prepare duty rosters, supervise, and manage room steward's tasks.Ensure proper communication within the department by conducting regular meetings with the staff.Counsel and motivate employees on various duties.Maintain regular inventory and checking of furniture, linen, crockery, uniform, and equipment in the housekeeping department.Approve supply requisitions for the room attendants and maintain minimum stock and cost control procedures for all materials.Check and ensure that all guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are clean and well-maintained.Be responsible for the efficient and orderly management of cleaning, servicing, and reporting for any repairs in guest rooms.Train room stewards on the proper use of cleaning materials.Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in camp.Recommend service improvements to the camp management.Ensures that rooms are kept clean, free from hazards and risks, and reports any danger that may be harmful to the property, guests, and staff.RequirementsExperience as a room steward or similar role in the hospitality industry.Experience in a senior supervisory position.Strong multi-tasking skills.Excellent organizational skills.Ability to adapt to a bush environment.Commitment to a high level of customer service.Strict attention to detail.Knowledge of hotels, lodges, and restaurants.Ability to handle sensitive matters with efficiency and discretion.Knowledge of food and wine pairings is a plus.Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or Tourism.Must be able to speak English fluently; other languages are an advantage.Must be willing to be based in camps in remote locations.Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.If you meet the requirements and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please send your application and resume no later than 05th May 2026.
