Health and Safety OfficerIndustry: LogisticsLocation: MorogoroHR World Ltd, on behalf of our client, we are seeking a proactive and safety-driven Health and Safety Officer who will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies to ensure a safe working environment across logistics operations, warehouses, and transportation activities.Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in line with legal and industry standards.Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits across warehouses, fleets, and operational sites.Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive measures to minimize risks and accidents.Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements.Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions.Deliver health and safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks to employees, drivers, and contractors.Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear at all operational sites.Maintain accurate health and safety records, incident logs, and compliance documentation.Coordinate emergency preparedness plans, including fire safety, evacuation drills, and first aid arrangements.Liaise with regulatory authorities, inspectors, and external safety consultants when required.Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in health and safety practices.Advise management on safety performance, risks, and compliance status through regular reports.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in health and safety within the Oil and Gas Industry.Professional HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety audits.Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and under pressure.Proficiency in MS Office applications.Interested candidates may send their CVs to career@hrworld.co.tz before 23rd December 2025.Only successful candidates will be contacted.
