AGA KHAN HEALTH SEVICES, TANZANIA AN AGENCY OF THE AGA KHAN DEVELOPMENT NETWORK AND IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING QUALITY HEALTH CARE TO ITS PATIENTS AND PROMOTING MEDICAL EDUCATIONTHE AGA KHAN HOSPITAL BASED IN DAR ES SALAAM TANZANIa IS SEEKING ENTHUSIASTIC AND QUALIFIED EXPERIENCED PERSONNEL FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:QPS PHYSICIAN - 1 POSITIONKEY RESPONSIBILITIESTo ensure quality improvement and patient safety standards are implemented inpatient care areasMake patient care area round to ensure high risk, infected and vulnerable patients are managedConduct and coordinate closed records audits and compile the data by physician and by the department, to ensure clinical documentation is up to the standardsInvestigate and facilitate sentinel events, sensitive complaints, and morbiditiesFacilitate credentialing, privileging and ongoing monitoring and evaluation (OME) of medical staff through Medical director's office. Keep track of ate related to OMEParticipate in continuous medical education(CMEs) and medical staff orientation sessions on quality and patient safety standards.Conduct internal audits and participate in external auditsParticipate in mentality and morbidity reviewsProvide support and guidance so medical staff on institutional policies and procedures as well as other administrative functions to ensure all departments operate within the laid down policiesSupport the institutional JCIA, ISO and other quality tools and standards with appropriate processes and proceduresParticipate in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures and evidenced-based practice guidelinesACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor of Medical, Bachelor of Surgery(MB ChB) or equivalent clinical backgroundRelevantactivee clinical experienceA background in health Managment or Public Health would be advantageousKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEThree or more years experience in direct and indirect clinical care activities in a healthcare institutionAbility to analyze, interpret and present clinical dataAbiliity to conduct latense analysis and clinical reviews of advaerse eventsExcellend problem solving skills and the abiiltly to manage multiple tasksWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office suite(Word, Outlook, power Point & Excel)Ability to identify, recognize and escalate critical issues for resolutionsComplete applications should be submitted electronically to:The Aga Khan Hospital, Dar es Salaam at hr@akhst.org with the subject line of position applied for or hand delivered to Human Resources Department,P.O Box 2289, Ocean Road, Dar es Salaam, TanzaniaClosing date for submission of the application package is the end of business day on 24th April 2018
