Our extensive network comprises over 8 branches, more than 1,000 DCB Wakala Agents, and over 280 UmojaSwitch ATMs, serving over 3 million customers nationwide.
Position: Relationship Officer, Business Banking (11 Positions Available)
The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving business growth by increasing liabilities and deposits, managing a high-quality loan portfolio, and generating revenue. This role involves proactive engagement with both existing DCB and non-DCB business and corporate clients to ensure the bank's strategic objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Relationship/Branch Managers to expand the business portfolio through increased product volume, new client acquisition, and deepening existing client relationships by increasing the number of products held per client.
Develop and execute effective client acquisition strategies to identify optimal product and service offerings for clients.
Achieve incremental sales targets by nurturing relationships with existing clients, understanding their evolving needs, and providing tailored financial solutions.
Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and partner with the product development team to create customized solutions that meet specific customer requirements.
Assist in maintaining and refining the list of potential clients across various sectors in liaison with relevant stakeholders.
Contribute to sales planning initiatives and develop robust relationship plans to generate new business through targeted marketing calls, promotions, and presentations.
Uphold stringent due diligence, internal policies, and Know Your Customer (KYC) norms during the account opening process.
Conduct proactive pre- and post-monitoring visits to clients, assessing their repayment capacity based on their financial and personal circumstances.
Meet prescribed weekly and monthly disbursement and deposit targets.
Prepare and submit regular status reports to the Branch Manager, including daily activity reports and details of calls and follow-ups made.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from a recognized educational institution.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales and client management role within a financial institution.
Solid working knowledge of the business banking environment and practices prevalent in Dar es Salaam.
Excellent selling and negotiation skills.
A strong customer-centric approach with outstanding communication skills.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite tools.
