Shanta Mining Company Limited is embarking on a significant expansion with the commencement of underground mining operations at its Singida Gold Mine. This new phase involves establishing critical underground infrastructure, including portal development, decline excavation, and associated mine development. To support this exciting transition from open-pit to underground mining, we are seeking qualified and experienced personnel to join our team.

Position Details

• Duty Station: Singida Gold Mine, Ikungi District, Singida Region
• Roster: 6/3
• Accommodation: Camp resident

Role Purpose

The Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for directly overseeing all electrical maintenance and installation activities, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of underground electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily electrical installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, fault-finding, and repair activities in alignment with work plans and operational demands.
• Allocate tasks to electricians, meticulously monitor work quality and progress, coordinate the availability of materials and tools, and ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Provide expert technical support in diagnosing and resolving complex electrical faults, including those involving motor controls, instrumentation, generators, and electrical distribution systems.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive work records, ensuring strict adherence to electrical standards, Company procedures, and all applicable safety requirements.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• A Full Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering, a recognized Electrical Apprenticeship, or an equivalent technical qualification.
• A recognized Electrical Trade Certificate.
• PLC training or advanced PLC certification is highly advantageous.
• A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical installation, maintenance, and repair.
• At least one year of experience in an electrical supervisory role, team-leading capacity, or as a senior tradesperson.
• Experience in underground mining or heavy industrial electrical environments is advantageous.
