Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily reports and supervise mechanics and other subordinates
- Ensure adequate availability of inventory of physical equipment and supplies and maintain records
- Ensure the smooth execution of the day to day operations of the Workshop, including turnaround and quality
- Increase productivity, assess capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ensuring the fleet is maintained to and in compliance with Company Fleet Management Standards
- Provide expert and accurate advice on technical matters
- Adhere to all compliance requirements including supporting paperwork
- Manage all aspects of customer service to achieve quality outcomes
- Manage the communication flow between direct reports and management and ensure people management policies are applied
- Champion a safety culture within the team and drive zero incidents in the workplace
Work Experience and Skills
- 5+ years’ experience in Vehicle/Fleet Maintenance
- Leading and supervising skills
- Ability to operate all tools and equipment involved.
- Solid knowledge of and experience with Trucks and Trailer maintenance
- Demonstrated understanding, and the ability to apply quality control techniques
- Prior experience leading and managing a team in a similar environment
- Sound computer knowledge.
