Work shop Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily reports and supervise mechanics and other subordinates
• Ensure adequate availability of inventory of physical equipment and supplies and maintain records
• Ensure the smooth execution of the day to day operations of the Workshop, including turnaround and quality
• Increase productivity, assess capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ensuring the fleet is maintained to and in compliance with Company Fleet Management Standards
• Provide expert and accurate advice on technical matters
• Adhere to all compliance requirements including supporting paperwork
• Manage all aspects of customer service to achieve quality outcomes
• Manage the communication flow between direct reports and management and ensure people management policies are applied
• Champion a safety culture within the team and drive zero incidents in the workplace

Work Experience and Skills

• 5+ years’ experience in Vehicle/Fleet Maintenance
• Leading and supervising skills
• Ability to operate all tools and equipment involved.
• Solid knowledge of and experience with Trucks and Trailer maintenance
• Demonstrated understanding, and the ability to apply quality control techniques
• Prior experience leading and managing a team in a similar environment
• Sound computer knowledge.
