Said Salim Bakhresa & Co. Ltd is seeking to recruit a competent and detail-oriented Accountant to support operations at Azam Inland Container Depot (AICD).

Location

Azam ICD, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and timely.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers, cheques, and other vendor payments.
• Create and manage Freight Orders (FO) and Forwarding Order & Settlement Documents (FWSD).
• Maintain proper financial records and ensure compliance with company procedures and regulations.
• Support stock taking and inventory control for AICD machinery spare parts and related materials.
• Resolve invoice and payment discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA) will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in accounting or accounts payable functions.
• Experience in logistics, transport, shipping, ICD, or related operations will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems.
