Assistant Lodge Manager

Reporting to: Lodge Manager / Operations Director

Location: Olerai Lodge, Arusha, Tanzania

Position Type: Full-time

The Assistant Lodge Manager will support daily operations at Olerai Lodge, ensuring seamless coordination between departments like housekeeping, kitchen, and front office. This role involves supervising staff, handling guest relations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining high service standards to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing lodge operations.
  • Supervise staff across departments.
  • Manage guest relations and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Support budgeting and inventory control.
  • Coordinate with marketing for special events.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • 3–5 years in lodge/hotel management, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and multitasking skills.
  • Familiarity with hospitality software and front desk systems.
  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related fields.
  • Experience in eco-lodges or remote settings is a plus.
