We are looking for a Chief Accountant to join our Finance team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

As a Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Supervising and allocating tasks within the Accountancy Section to ensure timely completion.
• Collaborating with external financial auditors during annual financial statement audits.
• Contributing to the preparation of annual revenue and capital budgets, monitor financial performance, and complete annual accounts.
• Providing accounting support for the Housing Revenue Account, including budgeting, monitoring, and financial advice.
• Maintaining monthly intercompany reconciliations, Fixed Assets Register, and accounts payable/receivables reports.
• Managing AzamPay and Bulk payout transactions and reconcile them with Mobiquity.
• Performing and formalizing internal controls, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with IFRS.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in Accounting in the FMCG industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related Field
• Professional Qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent
