Credit Relationship Officer/Loan Officer

JOB TITLE: Credit Relationship Officer/Loan Officer

JOB LOCATION: Dar es Salaam 

JOB SUMMARY 

The ideal candidate will have broad experience in the Financial Industry; with financial expertise, exceptional customer skills, regulatory knowledge, sales skill, and teamwork abilities. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Review loan requests 
• Assess clients' financial status 
• Evaluate creditworthiness and risks 
• Contact clients to gather financial data and documentation 
• Analyze risks and approve or reject loan requests 
• Calculate financial ratios (e.g. credit scores and interest rates) 
• Set up payment plans 
• Maintain updated records of loan applications 
• Follow up with clients about loan renewals 
• Monitor progress of existing loans 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS ajira

• Bachelor of Science degree in finance, economics or a related field Proven work experience as a Credit Officer, Loan Officer or similar role 
• 1 year plus of loan/ credit experience in finance or related industry. 
• Hands-on experience with lending procedures and products 
• Ability to create and process financial spreadsheets 
• Customer service experience 
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal 
• Competencies in Microsoft Office, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
