About the Role
HR World Limited is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Divisional Manager on behalf of our esteemed client. This critical role involves overseeing the strategic and operational objectives of a division through effective management and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the implementation and adherence to accurate call cycles.
- Monitor exception reports and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee point of purchase standards and ensure compliance by the sales team.
- Gather and effectively communicate operational information to the sales team.
- Measure and assess point of purchase implementation and execution standards.
- Identify, develop, and execute strategies to enhance sales and profitability.
- Ensure efficient and effective distribution methods, resolving challenges promptly.
- Manage divisional assets for optimal utilization.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of client and customer strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address operational complexities.
- Negotiate tactical plans, financial frameworks, and objectives for successful implementation.
- Design organizational structures to ensure effective delivery of objectives.
- Provide key account services including listing, promotions, pricing, and deal execution.
- Cultivate and maintain strong trade relationships to support operational execution.
- Align business plans with client objectives.
- Participate in meetings to review plans and optimize processes.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and proactively resolve issues.
- Analyze data to ensure achievement of operational milestones.
- Implement systems and processes for effective objective delivery.
- Compile divisional forecasts and budgets for approval.
- Investigate and resolve financial exceptions.
- Ensure sustainability, profitability growth, cost containment, and resource optimization.
- Coordinate with the finance department to ensure billing accuracy.
- Provide strong leadership to divisional teams, fostering accountability and high performance.
- Promote a culture focused on achieving objectives.
- Manage recruitment, development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Offer coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training.
- Take full responsibility for the performance of direct reports.
- Ensure consistent application of internal procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Commerce, or a related field.
- A minimum of 9-10 years of progressive experience in the FMCG, Retail, Sales, or Marketing sectors, specifically at a regional management level.
- Experience within the beverage industry is a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated strong general trade knowledge.
- Proven capability in operations management.
- Solid financial management and analytical skills.
- Exceptional leadership and people management abilities.
