Finance Officer

INDUSTRY: FINANCIAL SERVICES

HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client, we are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Officer who will be responsible for managing financial operations, preparing accurate reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial planning within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, records, and reports in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of transactions.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including monitoring expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all accounts are balanced and accurate.
  • Oversee payroll preparation and ensure statutory deductions are made and remitted on time.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Monitor and control company cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and internal controls.
  • Assist in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Support management with financial analysis and insights for decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports for management review.
  • Liaise with banks, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders on financial matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5–6 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting within a financial institution.
  • CPA/ACCA certification or progress toward certification is an added advantage.
  • Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
