General Manager

HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client, we are looking for a General Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing all logistics operations, including supply chain, transportation, and distribution, while ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness across the business.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the logistics department.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency.
• Oversee transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
• Manage budgets, monitor costs, and drive profitability.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise logistics teams to ensure operational excellence.
• Negotiate and manage relationships with suppliers, service providers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management.
• Drive process improvements and implement best practices in logistics operations.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining high service quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8–10 years of proven experience in logistics management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain, transportation, and warehouse management.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Strong financial management and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
