Head of Supply Chain

HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking a Head of Supply Chain to lead the overall supply chain strategy and execution. This includes vendor selection, procurement, forecasting, production planning, delivery, and warehouse management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely completion of pre-import formalities such as order confirmation with vendors, Letters of Credit (LCs), and pre-shipment inspection requirements.
• Liaise with vendors regarding shipments and expedite when necessary.
• Monitor shipments and update user departments on progress.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and other industry players.
• Periodically review vendor contracts to ensure alignment with current practices and applicable laws.
• Support management in developing standardized contract approaches and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with key vendors, focusing on continuous cost reduction.
• Manage inventory and implement controls to optimize company performance based on key performance metrics and minimize supply chain risk.
• Ensure accurate and timely inventory receipt, verification of product quality, utilization of appropriate technology, and maintenance of necessary records.
• Participate in existing and new product planning processes to guarantee timely material acquisition for timely delivery.
• Create a weekly production schedule and track actual production against planned outputs.
• Assist with the daily oversight of warehouse and distribution operations.
• Collaborate with branches and sales teams to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
• Implement and manage stock take processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary actions.
• Ensure subordinates receive comprehensive training on the SAP Supply Chain-Material Management module.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supply Chain
• CIPS or CSPSP Level 5
• Procurement Technicians and Supplies Professionals Board Certification
• 15 years of general work experience
• 8 years of experience specific to this position
