HR and Administration Manager

HR World Ltd on behalf of our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a HR and Admin Officer who will work closely with the HODs & senior management team to formulate the company’s human resources strategy in line with the company’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the HODs & senior management team to formulate the company’s human resources strategy in line with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with legal, contractual or statutory procedures on personnel management.
- Define recruitment policy, job profiles and manage the interviewing and induction process.
- Handling the disciplinary process in line with the Employment & Labor Relations Act of Tanzania.
- Ensure proper communications between the management and staff through representatives or Trade Union.
- Liaison with the Trade Union.
- Organize, store and manage important documentation in both hard copy and electronic format through a clear and concise reference system.
- Manage employee attendance, absences and leave records.
- To enforce when necessary the importance to employees of complying with the HR policies, processes and procedures.
- Liaise and collaborate with finance department in payroll related matters.
- Take minutes of Meetings during the Union meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to Human Resources or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years similar experience within a HR & Admin function. Knowledge of Tanzania Employment & Labor Relations Act is a pre-requisite
- Knowledge of and ability to apply the policies, procedures and processes of the HR department in a professional manner.
