Reporting to: HR Superintendent

Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate improved communication between management and employees. Organize and deliver presentations on employee health benefits.
  • Translate and distribute the General Manager’s monthly brief to the workforce.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of the General Manager’s town hall meetings.
  • Translate and circulate organizational policies, ensuring effective communication to employees.
  • Assist with preparing reports on labor-related cases.
  • Maintain and update recruitment trackers.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, focusing on reducing time-to-fill vacancies.
  • Ensure full compliance with salary and contract administration requirements.
  • Prepare and update weekly reports.
  • Attend toolbox meetings and required training sessions to promote efficiency and effective implementation of organizational strategies.
  • Assist with monthly payroll administration.
  • Provide support to the Section Leader on matters related to disciplinary and grievance cases, internal communication, union relationship management, and employee climate monitoring.
  • Represent the organization at labor cases before the CMA.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Labour Laws, or a related field (or an equivalent qualification).

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, or Industrial Relations.

Skills / Knowledge Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Labour Law and relevant legislation.
  • Experience in handling disciplinary and grievance cases.
  • Knowledge of trade union relations and negotiations.
  • Familiarity with employee welfare programs and benefits.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in employee engagement.
  • Competence in CMA (Commission for Mediation and Arbitration) case management.
