Key Account Officer – Bulk Consumer

Location: Zanzibar, Tanzania

HR World Ltd on behalf of our client is seeking a Key Account Officer – Bulk Consumer. The role involves maintaining and developing existing customer relationships while identifying and winning new business through customer visits. The goal is to grow the business by increasing volume with a profit margin aligned with group policies and business plans.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure customers operate within their area of demarcation.
• Deliver sales targets as per agreed objectives.
• Cultivate an entrepreneurial and business-oriented mindset.
• Supervise resellers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Facilitate growth in the cylinder distribution network.
• Conduct regular customer visits and offer training on safe handling and usage of LPG.
• Follow up on cylinder weight and quality in the market.
• Inspect customer sites, LPG network installations, and warehouses for compliance with legal standards.
• Manage HSSEQ Compliance for customers.
• Monitor competition activities and provide feedback to facilitate informed actions and decisions.
• Ensure proper customer service and immediate response to complaints.
• Follow up on customer orders for timely product delivery.
• Create a delivery plan to cover all customers efficiently.
• Maintain sufficient stock of filled LPG cylinders, accessories at depots, distributors, resellers, and retail outlets.
• Ensure enough stock is available for all Bulk consumers.
• Manage customer credit facilities according to company policy.
• Share weekly reports on regional activities.
• Report ongoing issues and trends to management for resolution.
• Advise management on service improvements proactively.
• Adhere to the company vehicle policy for safety and protection of property.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry is an added advantage.
• Valid Driving License.
• Excellent communication skills with staff and customers at all levels.
