Overview
T-MARC Tanzania is a non-profit Tanzanian organization working to improve public health and promote social development. Our socially marketed products and behavior change communication initiatives address pertinent health issues in family planning and reproductive health, child survival, water and sanitation, nutrition and communicable/non-communicable infections like malaria, HIV/AIDS and cervical cancer.
Currently, we are seeking suitably qualified candidates to fill in the below positions for USAID Social Enterprise Support Activity (USESA). T-MARC through USESA grows the total market for priority health products by applying social enterprise responsibly: focusing on increasing users, reducing inequities, mitigating risks of crowding out the commercial sector, and sharing evidence and learning with all stakeholders.
Position: Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research (MER)
Director Reports to: Managing Director
Location: Dar es Salaam
Broad Function:
The position works to ensure that MER frameworks are developed in collaboration with the program’s team. The incumbent will lead the development of costed MER work plans for each project. This includes ensuring that indicators are aligned to Government, and donor requirements. Conduct operational research and publications for evidence-based project design and to showcase/disseminate project successes, best practices, innovation, and lesson’s learned to stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Master’s in public health or related field (science, medicine, demography) for at least seven years of experience in a senior role on working in donor-funded projects. Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative methodologies, operations research, health management information systems, reporting, data quality assessments, data analysis and presentation. Familiarity with Tanzania’s health management information system and other national M&E systems.
