Feed the Future Tanzania’s Future Entrepreneurs and Leaders(FUEL) is a five-year project funded by USAID and implemented by a  consortium led by DAI with Pathfinder, SNC, and KangaRue being key implementing partners. The project is implemented in Iring, Mbeya, and Zanzibar. The project uses youth-centered approaches in which youth are fully engaged as collaborators and leaders in program design, implementation, learning, and adaptation.

Project manager -  Youth SRH and Life Skills

 

The Project Manager will serve as the Thematic Lead and will be accountable for effective project management, including managing project staff, budget, and deliverables. S/he will guide the consortium’s effort to strengthen youth SRH and life skills as entry points to engaging and linking them with opportunities and services. S/he will be responsible for improving young people’s healthy life skills, health-seeking behavior and empowering them to make good SRH choices and uptake of referrals for SRH services, especially young women (including first-time parents). S/he will be a core member of the consortium and will collaborate with local government authorities, different implementing Partners, CBOs, Youth Organizations and communities at Large.

Basic requirements

·         At least graduate level qualifications in social sciences, e.g. public health, sociology, community development, social work, rural economics etc. Candidates with health-related qualifications will have added advantage.

·         Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience working as part of a project implementation team.

·         Demonstrated experience of coordinating project activities, such as training, meetings, mentorship, supportive supervision and field visits.

·         Good organization skills, ability to coordinate activities on time, ability to write good reports, knowledge of community – based programming, and experience of coordinating multiple partners.

·         Experience of working with youth life skills and entrepreneurship projects is critical for this role.

·         Experience o working in consortiums, where people from different organizations contribute diverse skills and expertise and work together in harmony to advance a common goal

 

·         Good entrepreneurship skills, knowledge of challenges and opportunities for youth livelihood and knowledge of challenges and opportunities to youth SRH
