Senior Manager – Talent Management

HR World on behalf of our client in the banking industry is looking for a Senior Manager – Talent Management who will lead the talent function by designing and implementing strategies that attract, develop, and retain high-performing talent. The ideal candidate will drive organization-wide talent initiatives including acquisition, onboarding, development, succession planning, and performance management while fostering a culture of inclusion, growth, and excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end talent acquisition process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding top talent.
- Develop and execute employer branding strategies to position the organization as an employer of choice.
- Implement structured onboarding programs to align new hires with the company’s values and expectations.
- Design and manage employee development programs, training calendars, and leadership development frameworks.
- Support line managers in identifying employee strengths and development areas to foster continuous growth.
- Drive the Learning & Development strategy and oversee execution through a Learning Academy model.
- Develop and implement career development and talent retention plans, including coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
- Monitor talent metrics and provide insights through reports and dashboards to support strategic HR decisions.
- Promote diversity and inclusion in all talent-related initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to ensure alignment of talent management strategies with business goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a minimum of 4 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of the Tanzanian labor market, particularly within the banking or financial services sector.
- Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, development, succession planning, and HR strategy execution.
- Excellent communication, planning, and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, with a track record of managing cross-functional teams.
- A high level of integrity, professionalism, and strategic thinking.
