About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Stores Officer to join our Supply Chain team in Dar es Salaam. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in inventory management, stock control, and logistics coordination to ensure the efficient storage and distribution of products.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and monitoring stock levels to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the Planning and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Prepare inventory reports and dashboards.
- Participate in the monthly stock planning and review process.
- Monitor stock movements and recommend improvements to enhance storage efficiency.
- Utilize inventory management tools and SAP ERP systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in stock control and warehouse operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of inventory tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems) is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic team environment.
