Job Description
Volunteer Positions at YWCA HQ and Various YWCA Branches
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting and preparing project proposals and program support.
- Monitor ongoing programs and ensure they run smoothly and meet objectives.
- Collect and analyze data related to program outcomes for reporting purposes.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating community programs and activities at branch level.
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining records.
- Help with administrative tasks, event setup, and logistical support.
- Promote awareness of YWCA programs and services within the area.
- Support finance-related tasks, including maintaining expense records and assisting in budget tracking.
- Support human resources activities such as record management and organizing training sessions.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for women and young women.
- Collect feedback and document activities for reporting purposes.
- Support capacity-building initiatives, workshops, and outreach efforts.

- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Recent graduates from college or university (Bachelor’s degree preferred) in fields such as Social Work, Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or related disciplines.
- A young and energetic woman, 30 years or under at the time of taking up the post.
- Strong interest in community development, women’s empowerment, and social programs.
- Basic understanding of office procedures and administrative tasks.
- Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as fluency in English and Kiswahili.
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills in proposal writing, program supervision, and office management.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to undertake training related to specific job functions.
- Possess values of agility and accountability, audacity and rigor, challenging and respectful.
