Procurement Assistant

Industry: Oil and Gas

HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking to recruit an Assistant Procurement Officer to support procurement operations and ensure timely, cost-effective acquisition of goods and services in line with company policies. Candidates with experience in the oil and gas industry will have an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in sourcing and purchasing goods, materials, and services as per company requirements.
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Assist in supplier evaluation, selection, and negotiation processes.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, files, and documentation.
• Support inventory monitoring and stock control activities.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand and fulfill procurement needs.

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Assist in resolving supplier-related issues and discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a procurement or administrative role is an added advantage.
• Experience in the oil and gas sector is highly desirable.
• Basic knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
