Halotel is Hiring: Human Resource Officer

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Human Resource Officer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Maintain, update, and ensure accuracy of employee records and HR databases.
  • Administer HR-related payments, including terminal benefits and statutory deductions.
  • Support payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and labor regulations.
  • Handle employee relations issues and respond to staff queries professionally.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Assist in performance management processes, including staff appraisals and evaluations.
  • Coordinate training and development programs for employees.
  • Prepare HR reports, documentation, and maintain proper filing systems.

  • Understanding of HR processes, payroll support, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of labor regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Accuracy in handling employee records, payroll data, and reports.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
  • Effective time management and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to address employee concerns and provide practical HR solutions.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and standard office applications.
  • Ability to collaborate with different departments and support organizational goals.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in HR operations or administration (added advantage).
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws, statutory requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Understanding of payroll processes, including terminal benefits and mandatory deductions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle employee relations matters.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and HR systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
