Procurement Officer

JOB PURPOSE

To provide hands-on support to user departments on procurement of goods and services to meet organizational needs 

THE ROLE 

• Create and maintain relationships with vendors/suppliers 
• Work with user departments to establish procurement needs and budgets Prepare procurement documentation including PO, request for quotations, GRNS, etc 
• Review vendors/suppliers' performance 
• Maintain procurement records and other important data Negotiate pricing and suppl terms with vendors 
• Develop plans for purchasing services and supplies 
• Verify products and services to ensure they meet quality standards 
• Maintain and update a list of suppliers 

THE PERSON 

• Relationships management ajira
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Ability to negotiate terms with suppliers
• Skilled and knowledgeable in procurement management
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels
• 4 to 5 years experience in the procurement field
• Holder of procurement degree or related Certification/registration with PSPTB is preferred
