Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGEC) through Global Fund Grants is looking for enthusiastic, creative and energetic individuals whom will work under contractual agreement to fill the following vacant positions:

HEALTH SYSTEM STRENGTHENING UNIT

Job Title: RSSH Program Officer -1 Position

Location: Dodoma

Reporting To: RSSH Coordinator  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that all RSSH activities are coordinated with Global Fund Coordination Unit (GFCU).
  2. Coordination of the technical monitoring of activities of RSSH funded activities referred to Implementing Partners/Sub Recipients and report to the MoHCDGEC GF Coordinator on achievements, constraints and ways forward. This includes day-to-day coordination of the following tasks:
  3. Collect and analyze programmatic data on a sub-national level II
  4. Produce regular reports on program progress and results
  5. Develop clear written instructions to each Sub-Reporting Entity on what, how, to whom and when to report
  6. Ensure the preparation and timely submission of work plans and budgets for the Component.
  7. Report (monthly, quarterly, six-monthly, and annually) on progress of activities.
  8. Attending TNCM and other GF-relevant meetings

 

Experience and Qualifications: 

  1. Medical Doctor with Master’s degree in public health, health policy, health economics, international development, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in health systems strengthening
  3. Demonstrated skills in information systems and advanced Microsoft Office applications.
  4. Experience in Program/Project Management
  5. Experience and knowledge in the management of donor-funded projects is added advantage.
  6. Excellent Communication Skills are important.
  7. Critical problem-solving ability
  8. Age limit: 50 years

Terms of Employment: 3 years Contract (Renewable based on Performance and availability of funds)
