Job Overview
Rescue For Hunger seeks to employ a Programs Officer. The officer supports the efficient operational activities, ensuring project coordination is done properly. He/She will make sure all project activities are implemented as per our mission and vision principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain operational records and databases.
- Support logistics, travel, and equipment mobilization.
- Support other staff in coordinating the overall project implementation and ensure that Compassion Aid project activities are implemented in accordance with the relevant policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of work plans and budgets and submit work plans and progress reports using project indicator data per the Monitoring and Evaluation team guidance.
- Maintaining systems for continuous monitoring and provision of regular feedback through scheduled meetings with internal teams and sites or specific technical groups, mostly by teleconference.
- Coordinate scientific and operational activities internally and externally, including organizing meetings.
- Coordinate ordering and distribution of resources to sites for centrally procured items, and items for sites, ensuring inventories are available for the coordination office.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for various local and international trips and meetings.
- To liaise with other departments within the research Programme to ensure smooth running of the projects. ajira
Work Experience Needed
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, project management or a related field with at least 2 years relevant working experience or a science degree plus at least 1 year of working experience as a study or clinical trials coordinator.
- Demonstrable experience in writing reports in English.
- Demonstrable experience in organizing large meetings or networks.
- Research work experience and four equivalent publication points.
- Familiarity with migration and refugees principles and best practices.
- Strong facilitation, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in cross-cultural environments, especially with international participants.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
