Position: Relationship Manager - Bancassurance

Location: Dar es Salaam

Reports to: Head of Retail & Branch Networking

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for the role of Relationship Manager - Bancassurance, Jubilee Health Insurance, Tanzania. The position reports to the Head of Retail & Branch Networking.

Role Purpose:

The Relationship Manager - Bancassurance provides strategic leadership for bancassurance partnerships and distribution within the Retail Department. The role drives sales growth, supports customer acquisition, and strengthens stakeholder relationships while ensuring seamless integration of bank insurance channels, regulatory compliance, and alignment with Jubilee Health Insurance's mission to deliver affordable, accessible, and reliable health insurance solutions in Tanzania.

Main Responsibilities:

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and strengthen bancassurance partnerships with banks and financial institutions to grow product uptake.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align initiatives with customer and product needs.

  • Track key KPIs including sales volumes, digital conversion rates, customer retention, and channel engagement.

  • Manage bancassurance and digital channel budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.

  • Use CRM systems, digital analytics, and Microsoft Office tools for performance monitoring and reporting.

  • Lead and mentor the bancassurance team, focusing on innovation and customer-centric service.

  • Coordinate training programs for bank staff to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

  • Engage with external partners including banks, fintech providers, and regulators to support channel operations.

  • Drive continuous process improvements leveraging technology and best practices.

  • Ensure all bancassurance and digital operations comply with regulatory requirements while maintaining accurate, up to date documentation for agreements and transactions.

  • Uphold ethical sales practices and lead high performing, cross functional teams.

  • Drive employee engagement and retention through effective leadership strategies such as mentorship, continuous learning, and promote a culture aligned with Jubilee's values.

  • Manage conflicts, secure resources, and ensure teams remain skilled and motivated.

  • Represent the Retail & SME Department in bancassurance performance and partnership discussions.

Key Deliverables:

  • Strengthen bancassurance partnerships and optimize digital channels to drive sales, customer acquisition and engagement.

  • Data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and high operational governance standards.

  • Seamless collaboration with internal departments and continuous process enhancement using digital tools.

Qualification & Experience:

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, or equivalent is an added advantage.

  • Additional courses in Bancassurance, Digital Marketing, Insurance, or Sales Management are an advantage.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years' experience in bancassurance or channel management in insurance, banking, or financial services.

  • Proven track record in sales delivery, digital channel performance, data analysis and stakeholder engagement.

  • Expertise in bancassurance, digital channel management and analytical tools.

  • Strong leadership, innovation, process improvement and Customer-centric mindset.
