Americares Foundation Tanzania is seeking a qualified contractor for the construction of waste management facilities and rehabilitation of ward toilets at Kibondo District Hospital. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions (below) in preparing your proposal.

Specifically, the main tasks that the selected contractor will have to successfully complete are:

• Supply materials and rehabilitate existing none hazardous waste collection point; replaster internal and external walls, plaster the floor, fix cracks wall sections, construction of ramp, fix the roof, and lockable gate as per drawing and Engineer instructions
• Supply materials and construct none hazardous waste collection point of 5.2m x 4.2m, to be plastered internal and external walls as per drawing and Engineer instructions
• Rehabilitate and unclog the syringe disposal incinerator as per Engineer instructions
• Construction of brick pit for disposal of ashes from the incinerator, with dimension of 4m depth x 2.5m x2.5m, with top inspection opening (60cm x 60cm) and its cover
• Rehabilitation of existing 5 toilets in the ward, including bricks work for some walls, roofing, plastering, skimming, painting, improving floor, replacement of some sanitary appliance which are not in good condition, and improve plumbing and doors and window as per Ministry of Health (MoHCDGEC) standard drawing and as per Engineer instruction.
• Supply and laying of sewer pipes of 84m with its fittings (a) from toilet located near laboratory to new septic tanks. (b) from septic tank collecting waste from theatre at ward no. 3 to new soak away pit, as shown in the layout. Including construction of chambers/manholes and it covers.
• Supply and install/fix internal and external ladders for rehabilitated 50m3 water tank
• Supply material and construction of soak away pit as shown in the drawing
• Liaise with Americares Tanzania, Kibondo District Hospital and Kibondo District Council staff frequently and provide regular updates and challenges.

Delivery Information/Instructions:

• In terms of location, all construction works will be done at Kibondo District Hospital.
• All materials must be new and cannot be refurbished or reclaimed.
• Timeline for project completion: No later than 60 calendar days after acknowledgment of receipt of the first installment.
• Contractor must include a repair and defect warranty period of 3 months within their bid to cover all completed works within the RFQ
• Americares will provide 25% advance payment of the full cost upon signing of the contract
• Americares staff must be present during completion of works to sign off on work
• Quote must be valid for 30 days from time of submission.
• Require the CV of the head engineer(s) who would be overseeing the work.
• Require vendors to list three past complete projects and the telephone number and email address of a client for each of those projects who is willing to provide a reference
• Require vendors to have business and workers insurance.
• The quotation should be submitted on company letterhead and signed 

Evaluation criteria

• All interested bidders are invited to pre-bidding meeting which will take place on 7^th October 2021 at Kibondo District Hospital at 10:00am (Optional)

Submission Deadline:

The quote must be submitted to Americares Tanzania Office not later than 13^th October 2021

Quotations submitted after the deadline will not be considered. The offer should be submitted electronically. Please, note that before sending your quote by e-mail you must sign, scan and send the quote as an attachment in PDF format to infotanzania@americares.org.
